Workshop Announcement: Bread2Share

June 11th, 2015 by Jennie Sandford in Showcase | no comments

According to of social enterprise , there’s not much to beat moving your fingers through flour and kneading dough. So we thought we’d give attendees at our Creative Citizens fair on 27th June the chance to do just that. Sarah will be running a drop in workshop from 2pm offering the chance to measure and play with dough  - and to take some home to bake!

Sarah believes in the power of a process led activity that stimulates the senses and often works with people with physical and mental disabilities to nurture a sense of well-being and unlock strength and vitality: “I believe that the creative process of developing the imagination brings us into relationship with ourselves and in turn our environment. Focusing on the sensory experience of touch and smell, soft flour and warm honey liquids are the foundation for the bread and each baker develops their understanding of nourishment, achievement and sharing.

Until I met Sarah, I suppose I’d taken baking a little for granted. I look at making a humble loaf quite differently now! If you’d like to hear Sarah talk more about her ethos and organisation, or dip your fingers into that soft flour, come join our communal table, to talk, create, learn and share.

Free tickets including lunch, refreshments, all talks and workshops are still available on .
