DigbethOver the next couple of weeks we’ll be regularly leaking out details of the speakers, workshops and stall you can look forward to at our Creative Citizens Fair on June 27th - sign up here if you haven’t already.

The first of our speakers I’d like to introduce is Pamela Pinski, who runs the Digbeth is Good hyperlocal website (and Twitter/Facebook) and similar activity for Digbeth Residents Association.  Pamela will be talking about the ethos behind hyperlocal sites and how she runs hers, but also looking at how hyperlocal organisations learn from each other, for example through attending events such as Talk About Local’s regular unconference events.

If you’d like to find out more about what community media like this offers citizens, how they can become involved, or have even considered starting up your own, then make sure you come to this talk, with the opportunity for questions and answers after.

More details of the event are on our home page.
