Creative citizenship and public policy: a flibbertijibbet?

September 17th, 2014 by Dave Harte in Conference Research | no comments

As part of the Creative Citizens conference we’re holding a policy debate in partnership with the think-tank CentreForum. We’ll be asking the question: How can we unlock citizen creativity to strengthen communities?

Answers will come in a battle of the key London political think-tanks involving Fabian Society, Policy Exchange, The Social Market Foundation and CentreForum.

Stephen Lee from CentreForum has written a short briefing on the ways in which Creative Citizenship might be pinned down to make it more resonant in public policy terms.

We invite you to read the briefing (in PDF format here) and if you’re able, to attend the debate on Thursday 18 September at the Royal College of Art, Kensington, London.

Attendance is welcome from 17:30 at the venue. The debate will take place between 18:00 and 19:00. Following the debate, you are invited to attend a drinks reception.

Registration via Eventbrite.
