Connecting and Engaging Creative Citizens

March 10th, 2015 by Jennie Sandford in Community-led Design Creative Networks Hyperlocal Research | no comments

My name is Jennie and over the coming months I’ll be maintaining this blog and the social media side of the Creative Citizens project, posting regularly here, interviewing partners and practitioners and engaging the wider community with the research, as we look forward to the release of a book next year. I’ll also be sharing my experiences as a co-founder of two organisations: with Crafty Muthas and Bearwood Pantry I have first hand knowledge of setting up and running groups that aim to enrich and improve lives in my community.

I’m really interested in talking to others about their motivations and experiences across the three strands of this project: hyperlocal publishing, community-led design and creative networks. Do you see yourself as a creative citizen? Do you know a group or individual that would make an interesting interview subject? Feel free to contact me at jennie.sandford@bcu.ac.uk if you have a tale to tell or a story to share.
